Where do I Start?

Your Landscaping Dream

Is it that overgrown rock bed in the corner (wait, there are rocks in there)?

Is it that pathway that always seems to be at an angle, no matter how much gravel you add to it?

Is the only thing you can confidently say about that crumbling, old retaining wall: “boy that’s ugly!”

Landscaping starts with a dream, an idea, a desire to transform a small bed, your yard or your entire property into something you are proud to show off. From small rock bed revitalization, to reseeding your lawn, to custom pathways, beautiful retaining walls and complete yard transformations, Blue A.R.C. Services LLC, can turn your dreams into reality. Our goal is that each day you can wake up, step outside, and wonder “Wow, am I still dreaming?”

What’s your dream?

  • Good things can come without a plan, but landscaping is not one of them. That is why the first step that we will take when you give us a call, will be to set up a time to look at your project and understand the vision that you have for your outdoor space. We will walk through the project with you, not only to understand the layout that you want in one place or the type of rock in another, but also so we can understand your dream, because when we know your dream, there might be adjustments that can be made to your original plan, that you did not even realize were possible!

We take your ideas and bring your dream to life…or rather build it with rock and retaining wall block!

  • I will be honest. We will probably not be your cheapest landscaping option. If you want something slapped together, we are not the landscaping company that you are looking for. I believe that the old adage, you get what you pay for, applies to most situations in life and most definitely applies to landscaping. At Blue A.R.C. Services LLC, we don’t cut corners. Every product we install, from the weed barrier we put down to the retaining wall block in your wall, is quality material. Our goal is that when we leave a project, the only reason you call us to come back is that you found one more dream you want to turn into reality.

However, our goal is not to sell you on the most expensive products that will not actually bring you the results that you are looking for or products that simply don’t fit into your dream. We don’t have one materials supplier, because we want to be able to get the materials that you want for the best possible price. We are more than happy to work with you, to see if it is possible to make your dream into a reality and not break the bank!

Because of this, we will often ask what your approximate budget is, not so we can match the number you give us, but rather, so we can tailor the project and materials to better fit into your financial dream. It is often the case that one type or color of rock can be $40 to $50 a ton more than another type or color. If you are bringing in 10 tons of rock, that adds up pretty quickly. It always makes us happy, when we can work on your dream project and save you money at the same time.

  • An estimate is an approximate cost of the project, that can be altered as needed to cover materials that were not calculated correctly, man hours that were not accounted for or just simply costs that were overlooked. The reason that we here at Blue A.R.C. Services LLC don’t often give out estimates, because we feel it is not fair to the customer. If you are given an estimate, it is not uncommon for it to cost you more than the stated price, but how often does it cost you less?

A bid is a fixed amount for the entire project that has been laid out. Unless the project needs to be changed, either due to you wanting to change an aspect of the project or coming across something that should be fixed, before continuing, such as water not draining away from your foundation, the bid that you receive has the exact amount that you will pay. No hidden fees, no extra material cost, no paying for someone’s inability to correctly calculate the cost of the project.

Here at Blue A.R.C. Services LLC, we will only give you bids for your projects with the only exception being occasionally for hydroseeding, if we did not come and look at the project in person. If you are unsure if you received a bid or an estimate, just look at the upper right hand corner of the document you received. Just above the date, it will say bid or estimate.

We look forward to sending you a bid for your next project!

2.

I’d like a Bid.

From there, we can than arrange a time  that works for us to look at your project and get further details that will help us to give you an accurate bid. When I come and look at your project in person, the first hour is free, if you are within our service area, but after that we charge $50 an hour for each additional hour. However, if you decide to have us do your project, the entire in person visit is free, even if it is more than one hour.

3.

Accept your bid.

Once we have seen your project and know exactly what you are looking for, we will get you an estimate/bid within 48hrs. If you accept the bid/estimate before the expiration date, which is generally about 2 weeks from the date it was created, you have now locked in your price. After you accept your bid, all that is left, is for us to put you on the books and figure out your project start date!

Begin!

The Project Begins

Now you just need to wait for our truck to arrive and just like that, your project is underway! We stay in contact with you throughout the project to ensure your vision is followed and alert you if there are any changes that need to be made due to unforeseen circumstances. Now just sit back, relax and watch your dream become a reality!

" We had a general vision for our backyard—features like a fire-pit area, rock and mulch sections for native plants—but no detailed plan. Theo worked closely with us to bring everything together, suggesting creative and practical ideas, including beautiful pathways. We couldn't be happier with the results. "
